# Using Deductive Reasoning to Solve a Problem

This is an example of an illustration with instructions which I hand out to my classes. Notice that the emphasis is not on “getting the answer” but rather on learning how to use deductive reasoning. “Getting the answer” is relegated to technology or apps like PhotoMath. I expect students to use a calculator for more
